Abstract

This paper develops a climate-habitat area division through climate differentiation in urban areas. An activity methodology divided in three stages was applied. The first stage delimits the urban settlement areas, in the second stage climate variables were defined in order to control them and thus achieve habitability comfort within the houses, the third stage defines climate-habitat areas or sectors according to the similarity of the climate phenomena. Seven sectors were identified and they were characterised with the climate variable that most strongly affects the environmental quality of the houses.
