El debate urbano en Latinoamérica: pandemia, opinión pública y redes digitales de información

El debate urbano ha dado un giro sin precedentes a causa de la emergencia sanitaria mundial. Tanto reflexiones académicas como no académicas han puesto en discusión el futuro de las ciudades entendidas como continentes de la vida cotidiana trastocada por la pandemia. El presente estudio dibuja las fronteras de una opinión pública emergente, relacionada con la pandemia y sus efectos urbanos en Latinoamérica. Para este fin, desarrolla un análisis comparativo de los discursos, agrupándolos en tres grandes fuentes: la academia, la prensa y las redes sociales. Mediante un primer análisis de contenido y un posterior análisis tendencial identifica los temas más recurrentes e importantes. Los resultados revelan la existencia de sesgos acentuados entre las fuentes antes citadas, a pesar de que estas comparten una problemática común. Asimismo, se redescubre la asepsia o neutralidad del discurso académico, condición que contrasta con la polarización de los medios no académicos. El análisis culmina con predicciones bibliométricas sobre los tópicos urbanos futuros, identificando así los conceptos que conducirán el debate urbano en la Latinoamérica postpandemia.
