This article aims to show Miguel Abensour's political and secular interpretation of Levinas reading when analyzing the meaning of the levinasian conceptual axis of responsibilityfor- the-other and its ethical and political ties. In that way, we can rediscover the irreducibility of the political as a dimension that requires the human, all under the motto of the extravagant hypothesis. The human -in the light of Levinas and where Abensour anchors- installs its own irreducibility that renews the political and lets a critical political philosophy -that wants to consider the state and justice in a different manner- emerge.
